System Intrusion Message

Some recent changes to my system involved necessary disconnection and
reconnection of multiple (SATA, IDE master and slave) hard drives.

The first boot attempt went straight to 'CMOS Setup Utility' with a message
window warning of "System Intrusion" and "Check the System", which seems
reasonable enough. But this now happens at every bootup and long after the
initial changes.
Clicking "OK" and then "Save and Exit" (F10) gets XP started up fine, but
the procedure has become a annoying.

Is there an on/off/reset for this "System Intrusion" message?

Thanks for any help.
TerryS.

There usually is in BIOS settings.........check all of the pages carefully.

Some computer cases have a physical switch
that changes state when the case is taken apart
to let you know (in a networked environment)
that somebody's tried to get in.

You may have pulled/knocked/otherwise disturbed
the wires going to that switch.

Or, as the other poster said, it may require a "reset"
from the BIOS settings.

It's not an XP OS feature, or issue. It's related to your hardware and
BIOS.
