Hi Folks,
This is making me crazy. I spent hours and I must throw in the towel. I don't like when things like System Interrupt shows up in my resource Monitor, (CPU tab), even if it isn't really doing anything to slow down the computer that I can tell. But it wasn't
there before the Windows Updates I installed a few hours ago and I have no idea why.
I didn't add anything to my computer that wasn't there before the updates so why now? This happened about 6 or 8 months ago and just before I was about to give up and post the problem, I restarted the computer for like the 10 time that night and the Sys
intrpt draw was gone!? it made no sense to me but what the heck, I'll take it.
Ok, so I disabled my Network wireless card but SI was still there. The SI is listed at the very top of the Resource monitors CPU page but will drop to 4th place everytime I remove my Wireless Keyboard and Mouse dongle from the USB port on my Computer.
The 'Perfmon' and 'Chrome' and a svchost.exe rush to the top in that order. Then I plug it back in and a minute later the SI is back at the top of the list.
I don't know if that helps anyone figure this out but I thought I'd mention it. Anyway, the SI draws an average 0.17, (.15 to .20), in the "Average CPU" column and in the "CPU" column it jumps back and forth between 1 and 0., (no idea what any of that
really means). I was going to try a System Restore tomorrow...maybe.
Below is my computer info. It's late so i don't think I'll see an answer tonight. I'll check back again in the morning.
Thank You, Rich
