In the startup Item columb I have green check mark but no lable, No Command
But does have Location of SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows|Current Version|Run.
What is this file for is it real? Could it be the microsoft removel tool for
spyware? What happens if I uncheck this from the startup.
Many Thanks

Assuming you mean msconfig (there are other system
"config" utilities), if it has no label, it's at least
not part of the operating system. It -could- be a
poorly written app, or malware; hard to say without
more information. It should have a lable though.

Find the item in Autoruns and search online for information.

Use Autoruns to find any unwanted start ups!
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

With Autoruns you can uncheck an item, which disables it from starting,
or you can can right click an item and then delete it. If you uncheck
you can recheck to re-enable the item. It is a much safer approach than
editing the Registry. Another useful feature of the programme is that
you can right click an item and select Search Online to get information
about the item selected.

Yes this is msconfig! I have tried your suggestion to uncheck this program.
At restart the computer went into diagnostic mode and suggest that I (in
general tab) click normal start up but that keeps this unnamed program in
start up. Any words of wisdom?

Better than msconfig

You can look at what is starting using Autoruns. See if anyhing is
starting that you could equally well use by starting only when the need
arises.
