By the order of the government of Syria, in October 2022, a new law was passed on the determination of time in the country. Based on that:
Microsoft is releasing the following Windows updates in support of this decision. This change is available in the October 2023 non-security preview update, released on 26th October 2023 for the newer versions of Windows 10 and 11. All other supported Windows versions will receive the update as part of the next monthly quality update scheduled to release on November 14, 2023.

- Since October 2022, Syria has observed the UTC+3 time, which is the country’s new standard time.
- Late October 2023: Windows non-security preview release includes the update to address this time change for Windows 11 and Windows 10, version 22H2.
- November 14, 2023: Windows monthly quality release will include the update to address this time change for all supported versions of Windows.
