Alias is getting one big hard-on because a new version of Ubuntu is coming
out. Still the same old crap. Ubuntu won't run any of the popular
programs. Ubuntu is still Free. Ubuntu still sucks.

Nobody in their right mind would want to use Ubuntu.

What you can do with Ubuntu:

Email - Very simple e-mails
Surf the web - Even Ubuntu can surf the web
Burn CDs. - Lots of trouble
Rip CDs. - Maybe with help
Listen to music. - Yea, from your IPOD
Watch vidoes/DVDs. - From your TV. Not from Ubuntu
Scan and print. - Using your multi function printer.
Spreadsheets. - You can calculate up to 100 numbers
Presentations - If you like stick figures
Newsgroups. - Alias is famous for this one. No wonder why he likes Ubuntu

HTML editing. - Yes, basic TEXT editing of an HTML file can be done.
Games like Chess, Tetris, all kinds of solitaire, etc. - That's it for
games. Limited

Make videos. - Very basic videos. Maybe 2 min in length before system
crashes.

Download photos from a camera and organize them. - Hell you can download
pictures to your TV from your CAMERA.
Translations. - Yes, you can get a translator to help you with Ubuntu
Use a dictionary - You need a dictionary to figure out the Ubuntu language
Learn how to touch type. - Funny, a keyboard can do that.
Edit images. - Whoppteee DO

Send and receive a fax. - What do you think your multi-function PRINTER is
for.

Take screenshots. - So you can send to your MAMA
Create .PDF files. - Adobe makes sure you can do this.

Create and use a data base. - Yes, open a text file and create a database.
Brilliant.

Instant messaging with over 10 different programs in one including
Windows Live Messenger.
IRC.
Bluetooth. Whopptee Do.

This is what Vista do for you fan bois:
1.Increase your Blood Pressure.
2.You are unable to think rationally
3.Your sugar consumption, caffeine consumption are high(having lot of coffee
in between booting and re-booting Vista)
4.Shaking fingers(Nernousness with anger).
5.Not having pleasant social life.
6.Loneliness(too much interaction with Vista and less time with partners).
7.Unnecessary animosity towards other successful OS.
8.Nightmares about Vista crashes(though its normal and expected)

I am sure you'll get over it once W7 comes out hopefully. .

Easier than Windows.

> Rip CDs. - Maybe with help

Easier than Windows.

> Listen to music. - Yea, from your IPOD

I use Amarok and it works great.

> Watch vidoes/DVDs. - From your TV. Not from Ubuntu

I watch DVD/Videos all the time with Ubuntu.

> Scan and print. - Using your multi function printer.

Yep and it took three clicks to install it, no CD necessary.

> Spreadsheets. - You can calculate up to 100 numbers

Try to keep up. Not true anymore.

> Presentations - If you like stick figures

And any other image you want to use.

Ubuntu

Not the main thing I do with Ubuntu by any stretch of the imagination
but the fact that you gotta get personal writes tomes about your "argument".

True, Windows, the Toy Operating System, is better for gaming. But it
isn't Linux' fault that the game makers don't port the games to Linux.

So?

> Translations. - Yes, you can get a translator to help you with Ubuntu

No, dumb****, Ubuntu comes with a great translator program.

> Use a dictionary - You need a dictionary to figure out the Ubuntu

language

YOU do. I don't. Ubuntu comes in just about any language you want.

> Learn how to touch type. - Funny, a keyboard can do that.

No, a keyboard can't teach you anything.

> Edit images. - Whoppteee DO

Some people want to edit images.

Can't exactly receive the fax into the OS so that you can email it to
someone, now can you?

Many people use IM programs.

Worry about:
WPA and WGA raising their ugly heads,
DRM,
Viruses,
Root kits,
Spyware,
and
Malware.

The reasons that Ubuntu is more secure than Windows are twofold:

1. When *anything* in Ubuntu needs updating or patching, it all comes
from the same source and a little orange star appears when any updates
or patches are available. It's a known fact that anti virus apps and
anti malware apps can only deal with nasties that are known, not the new
ones. Hence, it is very important to be updated or patched and not just
the operating system but everything that is installed on the computer.
Windows has no central updating source and the user has to be checking
constantly for updates to their programs or face the possibility of
being compromised.

2. In Ubuntu, when anything wants to install, you have to key in your
password. With Windows, you have to click on "OK" or nothing at all as
is evidenced by drive by malware. Unlike Windows, the Linux kernel is
not intertwined with a browser like Windows is with Internet Explorer
and the kernel is kept away and protected from the user account.

That "long list of blunders" is a list of your stupidity and computer
incompetence.
You have also failed, once again (as usual) to comply with my demand
that you provide your proof of designer acumen and formal designer
credentials.
How about a D.A.A. diploma from a respected University? Or the Art
Center College of Design in Pasadena, California
Well...?
Loser and liar best describes you.
Get lost.

Hahaha...so you don't have any "real designer credentials' huh? Why not
admit it and simply say your not liking the Vista GUI is your personal
opinion.
Nothing wrong with being truthful and most would respect your opinion.
That is, if you can deal with the reality that it is only your personal
opinion.
I think your inflated and delusional very fragile ego can't deal with
that fact.

Sorry, but I'm not the one claiming to be a computer design expert.
That would be you.

how are YOU qualified to know that vista is good?

I use it and I like. You don't.

> or computer science.

Try google, you'll find out.

How many years have you worked in these fields?

Proly longer than you've been alive.

You also need a brain. If you had one you would know that vista is crap.

No, it's you who needs a brain. I have a fully functional one. That is
why I can easily make a fool out of you.
>

My experience with Vista dates to late '05 early '06, which is what
we're talking about.
So what about your design degree or degrees?
Well...?

> Hahaha...so you don't have any "real designer credentials' huh? Why not

You are completely wrong. I am both artist and tech, combined educated and
professional. I don't only have formal education and been a professional in
these fields, but I have also never stopped being self taught in new things.
Education is a life long experience and in my case its highly gratifying,
since I seek ways to transform knowledge in a creative way into things that
are profitable for me and useful for others. I could get into the theory of
this and explain what I mean exactly but its clear that you wont understand.
In fact I do not separate the 2 (art and tech), when making technology it
should be art, and when making art it should have deep understanding of
science behind it. Frank you just cant swallow the fact that some people are
better than you at some things.. ok? Perhaps you do know some other things
better than me. But computers and art are NOT included in those. Your
knowledge on basic scientific principles are very weak also, and this shows
how deep you understand the world around you. I am a seeker of deeper
understanding... and im not a fool in thinking that I know everything. But I
do know more than you about windows for sure.

The only problem with you is that you are taking too much of my time to kick
your arse each day because you are such an idiot troll and keep posting
trash..... You are a distraction.. a waste, a energy sucking vampire. You
are also incapable of learning! You are addictive because you are such a
persistent looser that begs for attention.

Give it a rest. Sorry I would like to be in here with you talking all day,
but its like talking to a brick wall... you don't understand, and when
told facts you ignore them and make fun of them, you deny everything that
doesn't fit into your little delusional story.
This is your retired life... you have nothing better to do, and plenty of
time, and instead of using it for something creative and good,
you are wasting not only YOUR time but others as well. You are such a sorry
old man frank.....

I have far more better things to do than waste any more of my time on you.

Take care. :-)

He does have design credentials

Ubuntista Vistuntu does have design credentials. I remember the manager at
Jack-In-The-Box saying that Ubuntista Vistuntu
is able to make nice designs on the floor with his mop. Just think, within
5 years he might be promoted to work the fryer!!!
