Hello. I recently rebuilt my PC with a new motherboard (ASUS CROSSHAIR).
Since reinstalling XP and the drivers that came with the board, I no longer
see "stand by" as an option in the shut down menu. I can only shut down,
restart, and log off. I have made sure that all my XP updates are installed,
all BIOS and motherboard drivers are current, and my video card driver is
current (I have a BFG nVidia GeForce 7950GT 25MB installed). I don't know
what else to do. Maybe this is a setting that needs to be changed in the BIOS
or user options.
Does anyone have any idea how to get "stand by" back in the shut down menu?
Please let me know if you do.
Thanks,
Mike
