Stand-by / Hiberante Issues

Due to numerious devices on my Network (i.e. NDAS, etc.), I've run into
problems trying to enter Stand-by and/or Hibernation modes. I've updated the
Power Option - Alarms to include executions to disable the devices preventing
my system(s) from entering Stand-by mode.

However, I've still run into 2 issues. The 1st being, the device
deactivation doesn't always end before the system attempts the Stand-by.
Whereby, the system returns the message that a device is still preventing it
from entering said mode. I realize I can check the Force Action for either
mode, but I then run the risk of Disk Corruption without a clean
deactivation. The 2nd being, I'd like to execute either mode manually
(Scripting, Batch, etc.). At the point of writing this, I've not been able
to find what the system executes for either of these modes. I did find the
System Logoff and System Shutdown executions, but don't know if it's a matter
of a parameter required for either of those or if there's seperate executions.

Therefore, I was wondering if anyone would have any thoughts on adding
addtional time before the system attempts it's own Stand-by through the
Alarms. Lastly, would anyone know what is physically executed for the
Stand-by and Hiberantion modes?

In the event anyone needs to know, I'm running WinXP Pro with all
fixes/updates applied.

Thanks
