When I turn on my laptop I get this:

a fatal error has exemption has occurred at 016F:BFFBFB22. The current
application will be terminated.
Press any key to the current application. Press control+alt+del etc.

Press any key to continue. I press any key to continue and nothing happens.
Pressing cnt+alt+del does what it is supposed to do.

Is my laptop dead, what can I do

In order for this to be less of an enigma, you need to supply
much more information, e.g.
- At what stage of the boot process does it happen?
- Do you get to the logon prompt?
- Can you logon?
- Can you boot into Safe Mode?
- What is the recent history of the machine?

Remember - we can't see your machine!
