I sent this much earlier today........still isn't showing up, even though
other's later posts are here. If this doubles up, sorry, if it doesn't,
check out the updates!
Heirloom, old and still need that nap

I've recently had a couple of posts to this group disappear. Server issue.

H,

Your earlier message posted 3 July 18:51 GMT is all present and correct
and buried in the pre-existing thread with the same subject "Spybot S&D
updates" which you started on 25 April 17:04 GMT.

PS e-mail to follow when I find the energy.

Ditto to that Mike - I thought HL had done it deliberately so didn't bother
commenting <g>

<G> I'm surprised that I still have the old thread. I used to clear
messages in the Win Me groups older than seven days but have let that slip
in recent months due to their being so few. Seems as If I'm not alone if
both H and yourself are also keeping older messages.

That's just too weird.............how on earth did you find it there??
Mine showed up in red because I was watching it. Yeah, I need to do some
house cleaning, too!
Heirloom, old and so are my
posts

Mine seem to 'default' to about 3 months when they seem to clear themselves
after about that time. No problem with WinMe groups for the reason Mike
alluded. Don't know if there's a setting to override the 3 months other than
a manual deletion.

Messages currently expire from the MS news server after 3 months. I used
to manually run every week a message rule I had created that deleted all
posts older than seven days on this particular account. I use multiple
accounts in OE even for the same server, for example I have an MS Win Me
account, MS XP account and a couple of others all on msnews.microsoft.com
and manually run my various rules as and when I remember.

Can't say that I did, Gary.
Must be an individual issue.

Harry.
