Hello,

I have HP machine in which windows xp is installed. The problem i am
facing is that no sound is coming from the speakers. All connectons
and chords are properly connected.
When i see the "sound and multimedia" folder in control panel , i get
in the audio tab the volume button is disabled.

How can i hear sound or is there some need of drivers to be
installed?

Thnx in advance

Drivers are obtained from HP cd's or HP site, particularly if you recently
installed XP

if the sound has been muted, you may see this, check your hardware system
view and see if you have any Exclamation marks showing hardware faults.
