I have an unusual problem. I am experiencing a situation where I will lose
all sound on my computer. I am using a Sony VAIO Pentium 4 with XP and
service pack 2 and all relevant updates.
This problem seems to manifest itself after I have played music or viewed
video files from the internet. It affects all sound on the unit.
Here is the odd part-If I reboot my machine the sound returns and will work
fine until I begin viewing or listening again.
I am at a loss as to what to do. It seems to me like there is a problem
with a "cache" file or something. I am not a high tech person but in my
logical mind this is driving me nuts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
