Hi Folks, I've run into a recent problem that I have no explanation for. It
started when I DL and installed Autodesk Revit Architecture Suite 2010. I DL
revit (30min) and installed (30min) and noticed that my machine ran slow. I
then Uninstalled (did not have own uninstaller), and deleted remant folders
(as many as I could find). Well now my computer is running slow, in a weird
way. When I boot up my machine, and all is booted, my machine runs fine. But
if I boot up and go make a cup of tea and read the paper, when I try to use
my machine (apx 30 min later) it takes an excessively long time to get on IE,
or run a program. In some cases my hourglass timer just runs and runs (not
responding). Trying to open outlook is even time comsuming. But if I reboot
and give it the normal booting time (a few minutes) I can access everything
just fine, runs normally.
I don't know if I accidentally deleted something that was not Revit related.
I did virtually all of the stuff other post mention (Scans, defrag, etc. I
even tried System restore, but received msg that it could not restore prior
to Revit). I'm not sure what else to do, so I came here for help. My machine
info is below. Any suggestions as to why it is slow only after it sits for a
while, but not when it first boots up? What did Revit, if anything, do to my
machine? I am open to all ideas.

I regularly use these products for antivirus/antispyware protection. I also
keep up with windows updates.
ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Again, I appreciate any suggestions as to what may be behind this recent
slowness since installing and then uninstalling Revit. If I have forgotten
some vital info that is needed please let me know. Thanks!
