So that respondents don't have to guess, you need to
tell this newsgroup lot more:
- How do you shut down your PC?
- What exactly happens the first time?
- How long has this been happening?
- What is the recent history of your machine?

- I shutdown via start>Shot down
- Nothing much, no error, blinks etc.
- After format and re-install
- Just been formated

Thanks a lot

You have a sticky app that you've installed that is running 24/7 in the
background. Windows cannot shut it down automatically. You have to find
out which app is sticking.

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to launch the Task Manager,
then check all your applications and possibly also
your tasks.
