Should I Delete/Remove "Flash"?

I subscribe to "Windows Secrets Newsletter". Some users claim that adobe is telling people to stop using "Flash". It appears that Flash is a security risk. Is there any validity to this? http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/173156-Adobe-is-telling-people-to-stop-using-Flash

I uninstalled flash a while ago. Most video content is now being served in ways that don't require flash. I have always thought of it as a security risk. In another couple years flash will be gone.

Youtube and quite a few other video hosting sites are now using the HTML5 player and no longer use Flash.
