shell32.dll missing, msgina.dll wont load

Ok, I restarted my computer, and Windows won't boot, because
shell32.dll is missing, and the login user interface dll msgina.dll
isnt loading. I have booted from my recovery cd and am in the recovery
console. What do I do at this point to restore the missing files? I do
not want to completely reinstall windows, because then I will lose all
of my data. The computer is running XP SP2.

Forgot to say, I had system restore turned off, so I can't use that
either. I didn't think I'd need it, and I was low on HD space, so I
turned it off.

Eh, I googled a little more and found a way to fix it. I no longer
need help.

I'm having the exact same problem, only I can't seem to find anything
on google that helps? Anyone care to be my hero?
