North Coast Sea Foods

Using Windows XP Professional (both computers) on the same workgroup.

I have a shared printer on another computer - looks ok!

When I try to connect, using the wizard, and enter the //computer
name/shared name, I see the connection go thru o and I can print a test from
it.

However, a few hours later the connection is dropped?

The Shared Computer is still running! The computer connecting to the shared
printer drops it????

Any thoughts or recommendations.

thx

Check all software firewall settings.

Check all antivirus setting and look for Internet worm virus
settings. These behave like a firewall.

Disable "stand-by" or hibernate settings on PC that controls the
shared printer.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I THINK I FOUND MY PROBLEM - THE NAME HAD A SPACE IN IT.

NOW THAT I FIXED THAT, I CAN EASILY SEE IT ON THE NEETWORK AND CONNECT TO
IT.

THX AGAIN
