What make and model of printer? Printer drivers are very idiosyncratic, so
what works for one may not necessarily work for another.
On the 64 bit print server, what exactly is the name of the printer driver
and what version is it?
I assume the x86 driver was "installed" as an "Additional Driver" - what
method was used to do this and what is the printer driver version?
Sorry, but I'm having difficulty relating to "tray starts properties" - what
exactly does this mean?
What happens when the printer is added on the W2K client as a network
printer via the Add Printer wizard?
See if the steps at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/AddDrivertoOldOS.htm
work. If not, the "workaround" at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/NetPrinterNoPP.htm might be useful.
It might be useful to post in microsoft.public.win2000.printing or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
