Hello all,

While I was installing server on my system, I found a rather
interesting development. While the system is still "collecting information"
I get a DVD/CD device driver not found. I researched this throughout the
past and into the Vista beta sites and found this to have been a problem
before with Vista . I tried some of the so called work arounds, but still
was not able
to get past this. I am using an Asus P4C800 series mb, with an HP 840i DVD
writer. The mb does have a Promise RAID feature, but I have disabled it,
set it to ATI only, and run it as RAID. None of these options seem to work.
I went to ASUS and downloaded drivers for w2k3 server and still no go.
There are no Vista drivers I could find for this mb. Anyone else have this
issue in the past or current? Any ideas?

Kurt

Couldn't you copy the installation files onto the hard drive and
install from there? Then work out the driver issue when server is
installed.
