Hi all,

I can normally solve these sorts of issues on my own however I am inlisting the help of others (HELP !!) I have a SBS 2008 Server that I had BSOD on my twice in ~10 hours and nothing since . The errors point to the driver "ntoskrnl.exe". I'm a little stumped here on this on guys so any help would be awesome! It should be noted that in all of this Shadow Copy data was purged as well (potentiall related?).

I know this is vauge but any help is greatly appriciated on this issue. Any questions at all I will do my best to answer ASAP. I have attached the mini dumps from the 2 crashes.

thanks again so much!

Chris

Oh and Hi btw! :)

Hi,

Check under Device Manager if you have any yellow question mark or red crosses.

the only thing I can see is that mssmbios.sys failed, this file can be fixed only with a fresh install or with an old copy.

When the problem started?

Hey ,

Thanks for the suggestions. There are no yellow "!" in device manager at all. I will attempt at replacing this file and see what happens. I have a few SBS2008 servers I can rob one from. This issue presented itself out of nowhere 2 days ago. No work or new installations on the server or network at all in the time frame.

thanks again,

Chris

No, don't do it.

You HAVE TO replace the existing file from the same system. If you have a backup for example. This file contains HW infos and from what I know, you shouldn't replace it with a different one.

If you don't have a backup, try to restore from CD (I can't remember if you can make a restore with SBS).
