Serious inconsistencies with File Explorer in Windows 8.1 PRO

1.) I need it to show all files, and only files. Is there an App besides File Explorer that does this properly?

There are shortcuts under "This PC" that don't belong:
Desktop
Documents
Downloads
Music
Pictures
Videos

I wish to not view these shortcuts, unless they are files.
They are not a shortcut file because I cannot delete them.
Are they folders? I think not because they contain exactly the contents of a Folder location that already exists.

2.) File Explorer must not show the same item twice, unless it is a copy in a different folder.
Is there a view setting in File Explorer that can view a single instance of a file?

Are the shortcuts (see item 1.) duplicates, using twice the hard drive space?
No, because if I add or delete a file from either location, both folders show the same contents.
Therefore it is not a backup copy of the file.

So what is it? The file "Type" is "System Folder".
It is not a "protected operating system file" that can be hidden in <Folder Options><View><Advance settings> (it won't hide).

3.) Libraries are an example of that type of "Folder/Shortcut".
The whole organization idea behind it seems useful for some, but that's not how I arrange my files.
It needs to be an App separate from File Explorer for those who expect File Explorer to be accurate.
I must be able to turn off viewing of Libraries in File Explorer.
Un-checking "Show Libraries" in <View><Navigation Plane> doesn't actually work.

4.) Search function show duplicates of the exact same file, therefore takes 5, or 10, times longer to complete the search.

Very inefficient use of CPU time, and it's a lie that 2 files exist.

5.) Search function re-runs the entire search again if I merely wish to sort the view (by Date, for instance).
And the sort always de-highlights the item(s) selected.
This is not an improvement, in fact it is a very serious hit to user efficiency.

How is it that the software designer didn't notice this degradation of performance?

6.) Search function provides no permanent setting to search for files and folders only.
It always searches file contents (unless "name: " is first typed or selected, every single time) increasing wasted time.

7.) Search function starts searching even when I haven't finished typing.
That action sucks up CPU and hard drive seek resources that may be in use.
Please add a button that searches only when I press the button.

Please, Microsoft, provide me with an App which shows only, and exactly, what filenames are on my storage media.

File Explorer just isn't cutting it.
