Where in the heck is the "Send To" folder and why is it so hard to find?
What good is *search* if it can't search!?!
What am I doing wrong that it is not very intuitive to do a simple search of
a folder?

If you like hidden files and folders to show up in Explorer and searches, in
Explorer open the Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab > Show hidden files
and folders. Apply this setting to all folders.

Thanks Charlie. I found the Send To folder and I set the option under the
view tab to "Show hidden files and folders" but I only have "Apply" not
"Apply this setting to all folders" as you suggest. ???

Hi Peggy,

It is in a hidden system folder. This tutorial will show you how to see
and modify the items in the Send To menu.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Go to the %UserProfile%\AppData folder and make the changes there. That
should take care of the entire tree + make this setting default on your
system.

For future reference, one of the quickest ways to find the "Send To" folder
in vista is to type "Shell:sendto" in the search box. The "Send To" folder
will open in an Windows Explorer window.

the Shell:<systemfolder> method will also work with many other folders
