Security Updates for Windows Vista causing problems restarting... What am I doing wrong?

Hi. I'm daily being asked to download some Security Updates for Windows Vista. Every time I do this, I can then no longer restart the computer without it repairing/restoring itself. The updates are: Microsoft Security Update for Windows Vista (KB2808735),
(KB2813170), (KB2813345) and (KB2820917). What am I doing wrong?
