I can't seem to find an answer to my question on the Microsoft update info so I thought I would try this forum. I have a new Dell Inspiron laptop purchased about a year ago and just love it. I have never had any issues until about 4 months ago. But, now
every time I shut down my laptop it will automatically install 2 updates. The first one is: Security Update for Microsoft.NET framework 4 on XP, server 2003, vista, windows7, server 2008, server 2008 R2 for 64 (KB2656351) Publish date 12.29.2011.
The second one is: Update for Microsoft.NET framework 4 on XP, server 2008, vista, windows 7, server 2008 R2 for 64 )KB2600217) publish date 2.14.2012.
It appears to have installed the update each time, and yet, it continually keeps installing every day. When I check to see if it installed correctly it always shows successful.
Is this just an ongoing process from Microsoft for these 2 updates or do I have a problem with installing them. It seems a little strange sin ce they always have the same identifier number.
This is probably a silly question, since my computer appears to work well with or without the updates, its just a nagging problem.
If anyone can give me some advice please do, it will be greatly appreciated.
