Hi,

On my Windows XP Pro SP2 system I am currently running these security
softwares:

- Windows Defender
- AVG Free Edition 7.5
- ZoneAlarm Free Firewall
- StartupMonitor

Would it cause conflict if I added Ad-Aware SE Personal and Spybot S&D?

No because they only run on demand......

Every time you start SpyBot with Adaware installed, SpyBot will complain
about Adaware. Just dismiss the dialog and run SpyBot. I would not, however,
try running both at the same time.

Would SpyBot pickup Ad-aware as a virus, spyware, malware, or
something like that when it scans?

thanks. I installed Spybot and Ad-aware on my computer and haven't had
any problems so far. I'll post back if I have any trouble.

Well, no matter what you install, if you are into it, you only want a
sigle anti-spyware running 24/7. Use the others as a double check, but
dont let 2 anti-virus or 2 anti-spyware run all the time.

There are only 4 security programs on my computer that run in the
background (real-time protection):

Anti-virus - AVG Free Edition 7.5

Firewall - ZoneAlarm Free

Anti-spyware - Windows Defender

Startup program monitor - StartupMonitor

The others are just applications that you launch and use (they don't
run in the background):

Anti-spyware/adware - Spybot S&D
- Ad-aware Free 2007

Anti-rootkit - AVG Anti-rootkit Free
