I have a Samsung Omnia i900 (windows Mobile 6.1 original Rom) PPC. When I try to connect my phone to Windows 7 (x64) it is usually trying to find a driver (unidentified driver 11.9 MB) and trying to install it, but it fails every time.

These are what I did before :

1-) Installed/Uninstalled the WMDC 6.1 (x64) several times. Nothing happened
2-) Change connection type to USB Mass Storage on device. Nothing happened
3-) Change connection type to Active Sync on device. Nothing happened
4-) Advanced Network Functionality unchecked on device. Nothing happened.
5-) Installed/Uninstalled Samsung Kies, Samsung New PC Studio several times for drivers. Nothing happened.
6-) Each time trying one of tehese steps, phone and the PC restarted.

Microsoft says the device (Samsung Omnia i900) is fully supported in Windows 7 x64.

I wonder, where is the support? Even it couldn't find a usefull driver, or a driver about communicating with another "Windows" device (Windows Updates are on and working on PC).

On my Macbook Pro I could easily see my device as a mass storage device, and in my Ubuntu installed netbook it's working like a charm as a storage drive. This means that, there is no hardware problem with i900.

Any solution, except "Switching to Android and selling my Win7 laptop on eBay for 10 bucks", are welcomed. Meanwhile I am thinking the "except" solution...

Regards.
