If I have clicked on a link that opened Internet Explorer, finished using IE (this is the onle instance that IE is used on my laptop, since I prefer Firefox), and closed it with Task Manager (using end task), despite it not showing as active in Task Manager, at unpredictable points as I use the touchpad, IE is spontaneously re-opening on the page I closed. I end up in a cycle of IE spontaneously opening requiring me to terminate it in Task Manager each time.
If I leave the spontaneous IE session open and navigate back to whatever else I was doing on the laptop, at unpredictable points as I use the touchpad, IE will spontaneously become active on the laptop.
The problem is never resolved, unless I do a reboot of the whole laptop.
I have no self-made shortcuts to IE anywhere on my laptop. IE is listed in Tiles, but they are not working on my laptop (they show, but nothing happens if I press them), so I have no idea why this is happening, but it is extremely annoying.
Please tell me how to fix this.
