ESET detected infected file in operating memory rundll32.exe(940), (918), (908), (1121) etc., suspected variant of Ponmocup.AAtrojan, but could not clean. Malwarebytes could not detect it. I went to System Restore and it had been turned off thus removing all previous restore points. I uninstalled ESET and Malwarebytes and downloaded and installed MS Security Essentials but cannot start it. When I get into its profile via run, services.msc and set it to automatic. When I try to run it, it is disabled. I downloaded and ran MS Safety Scan but it did not detect anything, Q1. I think I recently clicked on the offer of a java update - would that be the prime suspect? Q2. My guess I will have to take my laptop to the pros and see if they can separate my data and clean the disk yes?
