Hello. I'm new to Ubuntu. I recently acquired a Dell Latitude 2100 with Ubuntu 12.04 installed. The previous owner says that he did not specify a password at install. I am unable to gain administrative privileges without a login password. I thought I would just re-install, but I can't even create a bootable usb without root access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
