I have recently had to restore my system using the vista restore. I also have
another backup using symantec. My emails have not restored to outlook. They
are in an email folder with the correct subfolder names and are .dbx files.
When I try to use the import facility on outlook it only has outlook express
not outlook as an option which really confuses me. Can anyone help?

*.DBX files are not Outlook files. They are OE files. Outlook uses a *.PST
file.

I know that they need to be .pst but the subfolders have been saved and
restored by vista as .dbx and I can't open them although from the size the
emails are inside. I need to make whatever changes are needed so I can import
them to outlook.
