Hello.

Can the remote desktop connection recognize and use the devices connected in
the remote USB ports?

Thanks,
Hugo Pinto

If you take the time to explain your requirements and perhaps
your problem in detail then someone will be able to give you
a good and detailed answer. So far your posts have been far
too short to allow anything other than basic guesswork.

Ok, I will discribe my problem:
In a server is installed a program that only works with an USB Key to
validate that's original. Localy in the server this program works with no
problem.
When I enter the server by RDP and execute the same program, gives me the
error, that is missing the USB key.
Is unnecessary to say that the USB Key is always connected in the same USB
port of the server.

Is this explanation sufficient?
I appreciate very much who could help me.

Thanks,
Hugo Pinto

Yes, this makes it a lot clearer!

You can easily find out if your host computer recognises a
USB device. Simply connect a flash disk ("memory stick"),
then launch diskmgmt.msc. It will be clearly visible.

I suspect that the error message you see is deceptive. The
manufacturer of your program probably wanted to prevent
multiple users from using it simultaneously, e.g. by running a
number of concurrent sessions on a terminal server, so he
detects that your session is a terminal session and says
"No no, I won't let you do this!".

You can probably get around the problem by running a
WinVNC session instead of RDP. Not as secure, not as
fast and not as nice but still quite workable.

You might also want to try the "Shadow" option on your TS:
