I went to delete Registry Booster which I downloaded in error, and got an
access denied message.

1. How would I delete Registry Booster?

2. Since I am the only user of this computer, there is absolutely no
reason to deny access. How would I eliminate this "feature"?

Thank you.

I have *no idea* what "Registry Booster" is - but I am certain it is NOT a
Microsoft product.

I researched it (Google for "Registry Booster") and found a decent
description:
http://www.tucows.com/software_detail.html?id=501672

And it is *not* something you can *accidentally* install. You have to
purposely visit and download and install it.

Their uninstall instructions are as expected:

You are not the first to experience this:
http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6138_102-0.html?forumID=31&threadID=116309&messageID=1321562
(Search the page for "Can't uninstall Registry Booster")

You might try their solution (Erase the directory and run CrapCleaner) or
you might do a system restore to the day before you installed it (it should
have made a System Restore Point - one would hope.)
