I am in the process of taking 2 EIDE data drives out of my server and
replacing them with new WD SATA3 drives in a Raid 1 configuration. The
drive configuration shouldn't be a concern really. I just would like to
know what is the best way to copy the data from the old drive to the new so
that my ACL's remain the same and the share information. I am pretty sure
the share info is going to have to be re-created, but I want to make sure I
am correct on this statement.
Right now both new and old drives are setup in the server and can be
accessed.

Thanks
-Scott

To keep the security settings, you may want to use robocopy command or a backup software.

Would ghosting the partition and restoring the partition onto the new one work as well?
