Reassociating a user account and a user folder

I just bought a new computer and am using Windows 8 for first time. I migrated old accounts over, and did not like the way that some user account names showed up or the way that the folder names of them showed up in windows explorer. I made the mistake of renaming a user folder name for one limited account from an account with administrative rights. Now the limited account is useless. It has lost its association with all information about it. Is there some way that I can restore the association? The trouble is that I am not sure what name the folder had before. It already did not match the user account name. I changed the folder name back to what I thought it was and rebooted but the limited account is still disassociated from its folder. Is there some way I can use logs or anything to restore the connection between account and folder? I put so many hours into setting up the account just the way I wanted it. So frustrating.
