Realtek HD Audio driver failure

New install of XP SP2 Home Edition. All works except sound. Can't get a peep
out of it. Mobo is Abit/nVidia AN-M2 with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
processor. All attempts to install driver from CD which came with mobo fail.
First failure said "Device's co-installer is invalid". Any suggestions to
resolve this will be very welcome, I am at a dead end.

This newsgroup is not for 32bit XP SP2. It is for issues in 64bit operating
systems. If you are using the 32bit version of XP you might want to try in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.

,
This is an x64 OS's group (both XP and Vista) and we don't support XP 32-bit.
All that being said, I'd suggest you download Realtek's HD latest drivers
applicable to your OS from here:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

or from the motherboard's manufacturer site:
http://www.abit.com.tw
