I tried this and now I'm getting error 0x80070005

Try searching? The code is typically a symptom of a permissions problem.

If the messages are unclear about the specific nature of the permissions
problem you can supplement them by running ProcMon.

I can't get this error code to stop.
Vista
I dissable media share "change value"
I dissable defender " I use AVG, Zone Alarm, MacAfee
I have all the recommend tips, still unable
I do not run a proxy so any ideas

I found the problem..and found the fix.
Do all of the steps listed above
When you are in Services check Windows Module Installer
Mine was disabled I switch it to manuel problem solved

im having a problem windows update error 80070005.
