For the record, distrowatch does indeed indicate that said Alpha was
released yesterday - Aug 13.

I wouldn't either. BTW - I'm not that familiar with Crapola Open Sores OS
- could you give me a link? Actually, we were talking about a high
quality Open Source project called Ubuntu - you really should learn to
read.

Hmmmm. win7 may indeed be a high quality operating system - I've tried it
out a little, but not enough to make that call. But one thing is for
certain - it IS a BARE operating system. No decent photo editing
software, no office suite included - I could go on, but you get the idea.
When I load an operating system, I do so with the expectation that it
will be USEFUL and that I will be able to do what I want without the
expenditure of another $1000 (or name any other figure) to do something.
