How amusing

Puppy Linux is a *Live CD* it runs entirely from CD or if enough RAM
available from RAM. It doesn't even touch your harddisk.

If you want to install Puppy on your harddisk, then you will have to
work with a few command line programs:

cfdisk to repartition your harddisk. If you want to remove your existing
partitions with all its data, you'll have to do this manually and must
confirm after a warning.

Next you will have to create manually a file system to install Puppy
Linux, using mkext2fs (which can be compared to FORMAT C.

After that, the machine must be rebooted from the Puppy CD and the
installation Wizard must be fired up.

Without this procedure Puppy simply can't be installed on a harddisk.
