It's a SATA 1 drive without SMART capability. Running the DIAG tool fails on the cable test (pass....).
The drive shows no problems except for the detailed scan (one red blob) and the fact that NAV bombs
with the BSD right at the end of phase 4.
I's *like* to fix it but have got a new 500Gb Seagate today ready to do the deed..... I have an (old) machine which
could adopt the drive if it were just a fixable glitch, but at the moment it doesn;t look fixable...
