Re: in defender: why is there no 'always allow' status

Sorry, but I need to dredge up this old thread.

"Joepie", could you tell me what I am doing wrong I have the latest
v1.1.1593.0 and I still only get permit or deny options. I would like an
Always Allow option.

Windows Defender support and comments. This is not one of them."

However, this site you referred to below has not been working the last 2
days, and I have just reported the error separately to MS:

Yes, accessing the Defender-specific newsgroups via the clunky web-interface
has been "broken" since early January. Nevertheless, you can still access
these Defender newsgroups using your default newsreader (e.g., Outlook
Express Windows Mail Windows Live Mail):

Note: To view these newsgroups with Outlook Express or another NNTP
newsreader, you might be required to log on using the following information:

• Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
• Account name: privatenews\spyware
• Password: spyware (case-sensitive)
