Re: Help - My DVD Burner suddenly thinks it a CD only

Further to this "problem": IF one examines the drive by
double-clicking "my computer" and then switches the disks from
CD to DVD, the DVD disk will not initialize until AFTER Windows
Explorer is closed. A subsequent re-opening of Windows Explorer
then shows the DVD as having been initialized and listed.
Perhaps this scenario was in play with Perry's experience...or
maybe not.

As with liteonit dvd/cd/cdrom,most of these devices have a firmware
update for them.Go to the mfg web site & install it.
