ocassionally my computer restarts alone or does not boot at all. in event
viewer i noticed that the below event is recorded with every restart:

i am not sure but i dont have any SCSI cards or SATA drives installed...
should i perhaps disable the SATA controller??
what might this error mean?

Not sure, it may mean you didn't install the correct drivers or other
issue. If you don't use it, disable it, and see if that cures the issue.
