Would you mind to tell me how to retain the devices driver after it has been updated by "Windows Update" via Internet Explorer.

Not sure what you mean, but you should not be using msupdate for any hardware drivers

NEVER get drivers from Windows Update. Always get the installable
driver file(s) from the hardware manufacturer, These are the
"official" up to date driver files and you can always store them on
your hard drive, flash drive or on CD/DVDs.
