Hello.

I have a new computer with Vista Home Premium. On it is Windows Vista
Home Premium and Windows Media Center.

I really don't like Vista much and would like to do the following:

First, I'd clone (make an image) of the existing Vista Machine to save
it.
Second, I'd like to install my licensed copy of Windows XP.
Third, I'd like to install Windows Media Center from the Vista
install.

Is this possilbe?

I don't have any installation CDs. The media center pc is an HP. I
know I can get the original installation CDs if I wanted them.

Anyway, that's what I'd like to do.

Thanks,

Ward

The Vista version of Media Center may require modules that are in the
Vista Home OS. Media Center (at least XP's version) is not normally
a separate module. The XP version of Media Center is NOT a module but
a different complete system.

Sorry, I posted my reply before I saw yours.

Anyway, it's almost always good for the OP to get confirmation from
someone else on something like this, and the second post doesn't hurt.
