I have been asked to look into moving from Office 2007 to Office 2010 at the same time we move from Xp to Windows 7. I am all over the change but am meeting resistence from some quarters. The chief complaints are that this would be too much change for the users to handle and that any macros written in 2007 will not work in 2010. How much change in layout, functionality and operation will the user expect to see? From where I stand, I don't think the jump will be too dramatic. The ribbon was always the hold-up for the change from Office 2003, but since we are already on 2007, this doesn't seem like much of an issue. What about the charge that macros won't work? Anything pre-2003, I would tend to agree, but again, we are already on 2007. Any thoughts?
Also, are there some specific advantages of 2010 over 2007 that I could list? This would be from the admin's perspective I already have the Microsoft sales pitch document. That's not bad, but I'd rather hear from people who have implemented it. Thanks for your time.
