Hi,
We are using Embedded XP in one of our product. We have developed the programs in cpp and compiled for x86 Windows Embedded XP.
When the programs are running, if there is abrupt restart or we forcefully power OFF the mains and restart, then after the restart the programs no longer exist. They appear in the folders where they were installed. But, their registry entry are missing, and the MSI which installed these programs are missing from the "ADD-Remove program LIST".
This behavior is very consistent and can be easily reproduced. Other application/ program start after the this abrupt start.
Can anyone please help us to understand the actual issue here. Is there any specific settings required for installing our application? What can be the root cause?
Additional details:
OS used: Windows Embedded XP
Programming language: cpp
Installer: Windows Installer Using MSI
IDE and Compiler: VS 2010
Thanks in anticipation.
