Hello
I recently installed a new larger WD hard drive, and usig the sw that came
with it, I copied the contents of my old drive to my new drive, then
reformatted the old smaller drive. As a result, there are a lot of program
icons (eg Word, Adaware, etc) that have gone away, and have beem replaced by
the default Windows icon. How can I get the original progrma icons back?

Thanks for any help

Hi, i have 2 ways in wich may be able to help you.
1. (The easiest) Reinstall all of your programs that have the default icon OR

2. (only works if .exe has original icon) Right click on the shortcut and
select properties then click on the shortcut tab, there should be an option
for change icon. Click that and a box should come up with the heading change
icon. there is a button stating browse... click it and another box should com
up allowing you to browse to the original .exe wich has the icon inside. find
the .exe and double click it, the box should close and onto the previous box,
there should be the icon from the .exe. double click it and the icon should
change to the icon you have just clicked.
Hope ths helps!! Best regards JYP_666
