No its a desktop PC running at native res of a 20" TFT monitor.
I did try a Google search and couldn't find anything that seemed to match
the error. Unfortunately, the one you found isn't the problem.
The screen saver appears to run OK, it just clears the screen too quickly so
the pipes don't build up. It used to run fine.
After I mentioned the registry, I plucked up courage and ran Regedit and did
a search for 'sspipes'. As you say, it didn't really seem to show anything
specific, settings wise. But I'm no Reg expert.
I'll keep investigating and in the meantime use a different screensaver.
I guess it may be clashing with something else I've loaded, but what, I've
no idea. I have run an updated AV and Spyware check and it all comes up
clean. The PC is also Windows patched up to date.
Thanks for the suggestions though.
