Problems with changing my lock screen image

hello everyone, i need some help, if you guys can. The problem i am having is that whenever i try to change the image of my lock screen, the lock screen will not come up or it takes a really long time to show and whenever i choose a different image to set it to, when i lock my pc just to test it, it is still the original image i am seeing
