Problem Writing CD's

I have used normal explorer to create CD’s for many years by - Copying the
files to be used - Paste to the CD drive and then ‘Write these files to the
CD’. I have never had a problem but now when I put a blank CD in the drive I
get a message box saying ‘E is not accessible – Incorrect function’

The drive is presumably ok in that I can use Roxio to do the job without any
problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the IMAPI CD burning com service active?

Righ click My Computer, choose Manage.
Choose Services and Applications, then Services.
Scroll down to the IMAPI service. If stopped, double click on it and choose
Automatic from the drop down list. Start the service by clicking on Start.

Close everything.

Does that help matters?

Hi Steve

Many thanks, that solved the problem and I'm back on the air.

Cheers
