my desktop used to run windows xp professional. one day, the ups was not charged and there was a power cut and when i started the system again, the 'start windows normally' screen appeared. treating it as common, i started windows normally. the black windows xp loading screen appeared, the blue bar kept on moving and after some time, the screen returned to the computer startup screen. i thought it is an OS problem and tried all the 'last known ..... nfiguration' and the safe modes. same problem, the computer starts again, fresh. i went into the bios settings and set the first boot device to cd rom, and tried to install xp again, but unfortunately, i came to know that my cdrom drive was not functioning. i tried installing windows from the usb but this also wont work. please let me know what the problem is and what to do.
